Presidents Report
Hello from Bristow, Oklahoma.
I hope this letter finds everyone doing well and surviving all the flash flooding we have seen here in Oklahoma. Please pray for all who have been adversely affected by the rains and flooding. The FTO has a LOT going on for future and we just held our Spring Meeting and would have liked to seen more people present, but considering the change of venue due to all of the adverse weather and flooding we understand the inability to prepare for such weather related events that change schedules and plans. We hope to see you at the Fall Meeting. The members present voted to increase the membership price of the individual membership and family membership by $5 each. They also voted in favor to merge the Secretary / Treasurers positions into a single position to ease the burden of membership tracking and records keeping. We will be looking into the acquisition of hats and shirts for the future, so please stay tuned for those goodies. We do have the new FTO patches which will be $5 each. If you wish to have some before a meeting, or purchase raffle tickets, you can mail payment to the FTO Address along with $5 for each patch you wish to have. If you choose this purchase option, please include a valid postal mailing address so that we can get you your patches and / or raffle tickets.
Please stay tuned to the F.T.O. Facebook page ( and website ( for the dates, times and locations of all F.T.O. Events. Please note that FTO Members Only can join the Fur Takers of Oklahoma, Inc. Facebook page at and the F.T.O. forum located at Members will need to create an account and have it approved to join and participate on either.
As the FTO continues to grow exponentially in membership and participation, we are looking forward to these upcoming dates and activities:
• 2015 Fall Meeting – September 12, 2015 at the Creek County Fairgrounds in Kellyville, OK. Doors will open at 8:00 AM. There will be a pot luck meal, so please bring drinks or sides with you. You do not have to be a member to visit and participate in the Fall Meeting. The Creek County Fairgrounds are located on the south side of Hwy (Route) 66 just west of Sapulpa, OK.

In closing … remember to take a kid or two out hunting, fishing or trapping with you when you go … the activity could literally have a positive effect on their lives and how they grow up. Fishing is good right now in Oklahoma and the trapping season is around the corner again. And considering the rains we have had recently, Noah might even let you troll from the back of the Ark. Be safe and we hope to see you at the Spring Meeting.
Reginald Murray, President
